Mini Space NK Haul.

1 Apr 2014

This may come as a surprise to many of you, but until a few weeks ago I'd never bought anything in Space NK. I know its craziness! But a few weeks ago I finally took the plunge and splurged a little. I have to say Space NK have the best customer service ever. The lady who helped me was so lovely, we had such a nice chat and she picked out some awesome samples for me!

I actually went in there to look for a new moisturiser and as soon as I smelt the Emma Hardie AM/PM Treatment Moisturiser I was sold. I'd never even read any reviews on it beforehand, but I knew I had to have it. It comes in the same cute pot just like the Moringa Cleansing Balm which looks really lovely on my dressing table. I've only been using the cream for about a fortnight but it feels really luxurious on my skin and sinks in really well. It smells gorgeously of Lavender, Geranium and Peppermint and can be used day and night. So far, I love it! I'll have a full review soon though.

The second product I picked up was a bit of an impulse buy that I was drawn to by the tills. I've read countless reviews of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir and always wondered if it was really something I needed. But when I neared the tills I saw a travel sized version and with my blogger head on I justified that it was a good way of trying it! It is SO refreshing and a lovely scent, but I'm still not sure whether its exaclty a necessity! Again, full review to come!

I always think its a really lovely touch when you're given samples, and the lady who chose mine was really lovely. She asked me what products I was currently using so she could gauge what samples would be best which I thought was really nice. I got two samples of the Cane + Austin ReTexturising Treatment Pads which are meant to exfoliate and re-texture the skin. I've never used anything from Cane + Austin so I'm excited to try them! She also gave me two Intense Hydration Serum samples from Eve Lom, which I was really excited about! Finally, I also got two Radiance Life Foundation samples from Eve Lom's new makeup range in Ivory 2 which I can't wait to try!

I hope you liked this little 'haul' anyway! Let me know if you've tried the moisturiser or beauty elixir before!

Easter Lush Treats.

21 Mar 2014

When I'm looking for a bath time treat, Lush will never fail to help me out. I struggle to walk past a Lush without popping in and nearly always leave a little lighter in the pocket. Now as their Easter range has been released I had more than justified a trip in.

I was really in the mood for a bubble bath last week so I picked up three of their Easter themed Bubble Bars; The Bunny, Green Bubbleroon and Bunch of Carrots. All three drew me in mainly through their super cute aesthetics but as like all Lush products they all smell AMAZING too.

The Bunny shares the same scent as the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar, a super yummy vanilla and has skin softening shea butter and coconut oil to pamper your skin. The Bunny however is also filled with blue cornflower petals to make your bath really pretty!

The Green Bubbleroon looks rather like a bum in the picture above! Oops! But, I promise it does look like a macaron in real life! Grass is literally one of my favourite smells ever and I loveeee me some macaron's so I couldn't leave without this! The two halves are joined together by coconut oil and shea butter which leaves your skin feeling ridiculously soft and your bath turns a beautiful green colour. I can't wait to use this one!

Finally, the Bunch of Carrots is just darn awesome. There was no way I was leaving this in the shop! The carrots probably have the faintest scent out of the three bars I bought, but it is a lovely tropical and fruity scent. I love that the carrots are reusable too, I'm hoping I'll be able to get quite a few baths out of this! But lets face it, I bought them because they're carrots. No lie.

Have you tried any of the Easter range at Lush? Also, taking the photos of these Bubble Bars gave me Reason No.5463 for wanting a Bunny Rabbit, because HOW CUTE would it have looked next to the Bunch of Carrots?!?

Just In! Tanya Burr Haul

18 Feb 2014

As I'm sure all of you reading this know, Tanya Burr recently released a line of lip-glosses and nail polishes. It's so exciting that someone who began as a blogger has been able to take this step and its a big accomplishment for her and the blogging community. The whole range has such a lovely palette of colours and definitely has something to suit all tastes. I decided to try a few nail polishes and one lip gloss after much deliberation!

Nail polish wise I chose New York Night which is a deep plum shade, Little Duck which is a bright duck egg bluey/green shade and finally Penguin Chic which is a light grey. So far I've only tried Little Duck on my nails, but I'm so excited to try the others out! The formula is really thick and opaque - you could get away with only painting one coat! Mine lasted chip free for 3-4 days, which is fairly average for me as I tend to get chips quite quickly! I loved the colour though, and even my boyfriend kept commenting how nice the colour was! True praise!!

I am usually more of a lipstick kinda girl than a gloss, but I really wanted to try one of Tanya's glosses out. I chose Picnic in the Park which is a really pretty, but quite subtle pink. I haven't worn this yet but it swatched really nicely and seems quite buildable. It also smells amazingly of fizzy sweets! Yum.

I can't wait to give all these products a proper try out and I'm sure I'll have full reviews in the near future. Have you tried any of Tanya Burr's range?

Cheeky Christmas Lush Haul!

8 Nov 2013

With all the beauty vloggers videos of Lush Hauls at the moment I think its an impressive feat that A. I only bought 3 bath bombs and B. I resisted this long!! I mean really, what are they trying to do to my bank balance?! So with that in mind I thought I'd tempt you lovely readers into breaking open the money bank like I did!

Lush does Christmas products SO well in my eyes. Who can resist a cute penguin? Or a present with an ACTUAL surprise inside?! Its beyond me!

So after much deliberation and smelling so many different products I struggled to differentiate anything at all! I settled on:

With its cute little face, and orange blossom and Sicilian lemon scent I think it would've been a crime to leave The Christmas Penguin on the shelf. The penguins are based on the 'little penguins' found on Philips Island, Australia which are the smallest in the world!! So cute. It is apparently a good bubble bar for fans of The Olive Branch shower gel, but as I've never used it I can't say if I agree. As a bubble bar you're guaranteed mountains of bubbles, as it is essentially a bubble bath in solid form! Now I've just got to pluck up the courage to crumble his little face up in my bath....wish me luck?

I am ratherrrrrr obsessed with my Mint Julips Lip Scrub. So when I saw that Santa's Christmas version was on the shelves I had to at least inspect it! And once inspected, the justification that I needed scrub for home and one for handbag seemed logical and obvious. Right? The fact that the scrub is red and has tiny hearts in it is a winner in my eyes! The only downside to it is that its Cola flavoured, although still nice I'd much rather it of been something more christmassy like cinnamon. But, the wonderous softening effects still work so I'm a happy camper!

Cinders may not be the most exciting of Bath Bombs, considering I didn't purchase the melting snowman! But, I love the smell of Cinnamon and it makes me feel so christmassy I couldn't pass it up! There is also a scattering of popping candle to evoke the 'by the fireside' feelings! This is the only bath bomb from my collection that I've used so far and it was so lovely. I felt super relaxed, and it made my skin feel so soft. The smell was amazing in my bathroom too!

Finally, is the ultimate in Christmas bath bombs, The Golden Wonder! A glittery present, with a turquoise present inside loaded with stars! I am SO excited to try this one out. I'm saving it for a special occasion, when a long bath is all that will soothe me. It smells of champagne, orange, lime and cognac oil and is apparently the scent of Snowshowers Shower Jelly. I'll definitely let you know how I get on with this particular bomb. :)

I'm sure I'll be back in Lush before the Christmas products are gone for another year, but for now these have definitely given me enough excitement for a while. Have you bought any of the Christmas range??

Skincare Haul.

30 Sept 2013

Recently I've added these three products to my skincare regime, and I'm totally loving them! I've really been enjoying taking better care of my skin, and I'm definitely reaping the benefits now :)

My first new purchase is the Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser in Aloe Fresh. Now I'm not gonna lie. I am soo bad at moisturising. I hate waiting around in that sticky stage, so all my lovely moisturisers end up collecting dust in my cabinet. So aside from trying to get better at that particular area of skincare, when I saw the reviews of the Spray & Go moisturiser I knew it'd be perfect for me. Claiming to' moisturise in seconds so you can put your clothes on straight away' is music to my ears! Obviously your skin isn't going to be as hydrated as if you'd spent a full five minutes slathering on a cream, but for busy mornings? This is perfect. The scent Aloe Fresh smells lovely too!

Second is a cult blogger favourite which I finally succumbed too when I saw it on offer, in M&S of all places! The REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is a real luxury product in my eyes. I've been trying to use this once a week for the best results, and I love the way my skin feels afterwards. So soft and smooth, and slowly but surely I think my entire complexion is brightening and clearing up. It really feels like a treat to my skin when I use this of an evening. The only downside I'd say is, it doesn't smell particularly pleasant. But for how good my skin feels afterwards, I'm willing to put that aside!

Lastly is the Nip + Fab Dry Leg Fix. For some reason or another I've always had quite dry skin on my legs. But, as stated previously I suck at moisturising regularly. This product however is such a lifesaver, that I don't mind spending the extra few minutes. Especially if I'm not wearing tights that day. I actually got a free sample of this with a magazine (for the life of me I can't remember which one!), and loved it so much that I went out and bought the full size! Its a really thick creamy consistency but it does sink in to the skin nicely and doesn't leave you feeling sticky. Definitely a holy grail product for me now. :)

So there's my three recent skincare additions! Let me know of any other products you think I should try next! :)

Spending Splurge, oops! Vol #2

10 May 2013

So I might have had a little splurge recently, and as I'm a nosy person and enjoy seeing other peoples purchases I thought you might like to see what I picked up. :)

First up I went to Boots straight after getting my hair cut where the hairdresser had curled my hair using a small bristle brush. I already have a large barrel brush, but I wanted to try and recreate the curls she'd given me so I bought the Kent Small Radial Brush. So far I'm still struggling to perfect my hair, but its definitely not in detriment to the brush, rather my awful styling skills!

I then picked up a few Revlon items, they had a 3 for 2 deal so it was a bit of a bargain! The PhotoReady Perfecting Primer is something I've been wanting to try for a while, and so far I'm really enjoying it. I'm sure I'll post a review soon! Also in the PhotoReady range was the Cream Blush in Coral Reef, I already have this blush in Pinched and really love using it so I thought I'd try out this shade as well. It looks so scary in the pan, but actually blends out to be a really lovely colour. Lastly, I picked one of the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Rendezvous. I love my Clinique Chubby Stick (review HERE) but I wanted to try a cheaper option of the stains. So far, I haven't had a real chance to road-test it but the colour is lovely and really pretty for spring.

A new purchase for me was the La Roche-Posay Micellar Make-Up Removal Gel as I'd never tried anything from this brand before, and I'd never tried a gel formula to remove my make-up. I have to say, so far I'm really not enjoying using it. It seems to be such hard work to get all my eye make-up off, and leaves my skin feeling strange and dry. I'm going to keep trying it but it's definitely not love at the moment!

Finally, I popped into Lush to finallyyyy buy one of their infamous Lip Scrubs. One of my best friends Emily recommended these to me ages ago, and after seeing all the blogosphere hype I knew I had to get in on it. Its just taken me so long to actually get around to buying it! Anyway, long story aside I bought the Mint Julips flavour and not only does it make my lips super smooth, it tastes so damn good! Mint Chocolate on the lips? What could be better! I also bought a Big Blue Bathbomb as I was really fancying a relaxing bath that night and I wanted to feel like I was in the ocean - as you do. :)

So there we have it - my recent purchases! See anything you've tried? Let me know if they're any good :)

The floral skirt, courtesy of Primark, which was about £10. Finally, the black quilted ballet pumps, again from Primark at the bargainous price of £6.

I hope you enjoyed this Monday post, and I hope you all have a lovely day :)

Spending Splurge, Oops!

20 Nov 2012

L-R: 1. Stila One Step Illuminate 2. Stila 'In The Light' Eyeshadow Palette 3. Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting Balm 4. Sleek Base Duo Kit in 334 'Shell' 5. Essie Nail Polish in 'Dive Bar' 6. Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara in 001 'Blackest Black' 7. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in No.2 'Light'
On my way home yesterday I was a bad person, and succumbed to the exciting prospect of a window shop in Boots. This then turned into a spending spree in Boots, closely followed by a jaunt around Superdrug. Needless to say my bag was noticeably heavier on leaving and my bank account wasn't on best terms with me. But when faced with 3 for 2 deals whats a girl to do? :)

I originally went in purely for the Stila In The Light Eyeshadow Palette! After seeing so many great reviews on it, I really wanted it in my life :) And, the colours are even prettier close-up! So, that was immediately in my hands! Then, whilst still at the Stila counter I noticed the One Step Illuminate. To be honest the main reason I wanted it was because of how pretty the product actually looks with the swirly pattern! I'm a marketing dream! haha But, it did also sound really interesting as an extra step to my foundation routine, and on using it this morning I was really happy with it :) I then picked up an Essie nail polish in 'Dive Bar'. Essie is a brand I'd been wanting to try for a while (I've never been that adventurous with my nail polish brands before!) and the blacky-bluey-shimmer that Dive Bar possesses instantly drew me to it! And before I knew it I was walking away with it in my hands. My final Boots purchase was the Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting Balm which after Fleur De Force reviewed here I knew I had to have! It was 1/3 off in Boots, so I didn't feel too bad! :)

I then went to Superdrug purely for the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer which has been hyped to within an inch of its life! Butt, as it was 3 for 2, I couldn't help but pick up the Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara aswell, and to be fair I did really need a new mascara ;) And, to complete the 3 for 2 I bought the Sleek Base Duo Kit as the packaging was beyond cute! And I've been looking for a new foundation to try out, so the combination of cream and powder foundation in a cute compact was too hard to resist! :)

I'm really excited to try everything out! Let me know if you've already got any of these products! :)

Bye for now!

Shopping Haul.

29 Oct 2012

Well hello there!

I hope you are well! :) I've had a lovely two days, shopping with my sister, and then today visiting my cousin as it was her 31st birthday and playing with her two lovely daughters :). They're 3 and 1, so adorably cute!

So, me and my sister Katie, went shopping in Guildford yesterday! For those of you that haven't been, Guildford is really pretty, and has cobble stones down the main high street, which always makes a town look really cute I think :) And, the shops are ace too!

I didn't get a massive amount, as we were attempting to find an outfit for my sister, as our cousin John is getting married next weekend :) Andd, we did mess around quite abit trying on ridiculously fancy clothes with extortionate price tags, just for the fun :)

Anyway! Heres what I got, :);

My BARGAIN OF THE DAY! A lovely Mustard Blazer from Topshop!

Now, as you probably all know, blazers from Topshop are usually around the £55-65 mark! Which, as much as I love Topshop and really am in need of a good new blazer, is just way too expensive for me at the moment! But, I saw this beauty in the sale rack, and managed to blag it for just £20! Bargain or what?! I was well chuffed! The picture makes the colour look a little dark, it's actually slightly lighter but still very vibrant! I can't wait to wear it :) Oh, and it feels super soft!

I then blagged another sale item! This time in River Island, a really cool plain white structured shirt;

I've seen this in River Island for a while now, and always been unsure of whether I liked the 'hole' design by the collar, but as this was only £12 in the sale, I figured I may aswell try it! And I love it! Its a nice twist to what otherwise would just be a plain shirt! Result! :)

I got this black leather bag for my cousin Michele's birthday;

It was from Accesorize, and was about £35 which I thought was pretty standard for the shop! I really liked the butterfly detail though, and being an over-the-shoulder bag (which was pretty damn roomy) I thought it was perfect for a busy mummy :) She really liked it anyway, so thumbs up Accessorize! :)

The last item I picked up was, the Ojon Rare Blend Oil - Total Hair Therapy from Boots;

It was £29, so abit of a splurge but I really wanted to try it! And it just looks so prettyy, how could I resist?! ;)

I used it this morning, and my hair did feel instantly smoother and really soft! And now, after going out in the horrible wind and random rain showers its still looking good! So I'm a very happy camper so far! I'll do a proper review when I've used it for abit longer though :)

I tried to take a picture of my hair after using the Ojon oil to show you, but I'm god-awful at taking pictures of myself so this was the best out of the lot (harks back to my emo/scene days :P). I do think it has made my hair look quite sleek and de-frizzed though! :)

One last thing, its not beauty/fashion related...butt I am LOVING this M&S Peach, Camomile and Green Tea drink at the moment! Its literally delicious! And only a pound! Gotta love M&S Food :)

So thats everything! I hope you enjoyed the post, :)

I'll leave you with a good thought;

"While there's life, there's hope."

Bye for now!
