My 2013 Hair Favourites.

5 Jan 2014

Aside from having my fringe cut in in 2012, I've never done anything drastic to my hair. So the decision to have my hair ombréd last summer was a big one in Aimée-land. That being said, I'm sooo glad I did. I love how my hair looks now, even if the Ombré look is rather common these days! I do wonder whether I'll still love it when I look back on pictures years down the line though!

With that being said however, I've always been interested in haircare. Before I started blogging it was definitely the beauty product that I'd spend the most money on. After all, it is something you 'wear' everyday! Although I probably spend more on make-up now, I still take good care of my hair and love trying new products. The six favourites I've chosen are products I use almost every day. I love my hair routine at the moment, and my hair is definitely reaping the benefits of the good products I've been using.

First up, is the TIGI S-Factor Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner. I don't really know how I survived before using this set because it really has done wonders for my hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner smell really gorgeously of strawberries and the texture feels so luxurious. You only need a few pumps of each product as it distributes really well, and buying them both in 750ml bottles means they last for months on end. My hair always feels so nourished and soft after using them. Read my full review here.

Secondly, another TIGI S-Factor product! I really am in love with the S-Factor range! The Smoothing Lusterizer leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and soft. Like the shampoo and conditioner, this also smells of strawberries which ensures your hair smells yummy all day long! I use a pea sized amount in my hair straight after washing it, concentrating the product on the ends. You can also use this on dry hair, which is great to revive 'second day' hair!

Thirdly, is my last TIGI S-Factor product! This time in the form of an overnight treatment! The Wonderful Tonight treatment is a serumy/cream type consistency that I run through my hair before going to sleep. The next morning, after washing my hair I'm left with smooth, silky hair! It really is as simple as that! I only use the treatment once a week, as the effects last quite a while in my hair. In my eyes it gives me that feeling of 'fresh' hair, as if I've just had a wash and blow-dry in the hairdressers! Just with a fraction of the price. Read my full review here.

Onto more of a styling product now, and an old love of mine. For a couple of years now I've loved using a Sea Salt Spray to create beachy waves in my hair. I've tried quite a few over the years but nothing beats the Toni and Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray. It doesn't leave my hair sticky or hard to manage, just creates really nice natural looking waves. You can use the spray on both wet and dry hair too, which gives you freedom for styling. Read my full review here.

Lastly, is the Aussie Hi-Hold + Hi-Shine Hairspray. I'm quite picky about hairsprays as I hate the clinical smell that most of them have. So when I tried the Aussie hairspray on a whim, I was pleasantly surprised that for once I actually liked the smell of the hairspray as it smells really fresh! It gives great hold all day, and does give my hair a nice shine. Importantly its also easy to brush out, and doesn't leave you feeling like you're pulling out half your head when trying to brush through it.

So there we have it! My 2013 Hair Favourites. I think I've definitely proved my love for TIGI in this post! Maybe I'll attempt to branch out a little more next year, but for now I'm definitely happy with my haircare routine. What are your favourite hair products of 2013? :)

My 2013 Beauty Favourites.

4 Jan 2014

This past year has been full of new and exciting products that I've tried and tested. Whittling down my favourites was a hard task, and even now I feel like I have wayy too many products in the picture above! But, I'm the sort of person who will always give a top 5 rather than just one favourite. I just can't do it, I have too much love to give! (DISCLAIMER: This is a long post, so grab a cuppa and get comfy!)

All of these products I use on a weekly, if not daily basis - as you can probably tell from my empty No.7 Hot Cloth Cleanser, which I've just figured out I bought way back in April! Definitely good value for money there. As I have so many products to talk about, I'm only going to write a mini-review, otherwise we'll be here till next year. So let's get cracking!

Blusher is one of my favourite beauty products, so choosing one was tricky! But the Sleek Rose Gold blush is just so beautiful, and gives a lovely healthy glow to the cheeks. Its so easy to blend and the slight shimmer makes it great for night time too. (Full review here). Second, is the best foundation I've found all year. A good base is paramount and the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation gives a flawless finish. It glides on so easily, and leaves me with a healthy glow all day. To apply my foundation, my favourite brush of 2013 is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I'm genuinely not sure how I applied foundation before this now! It blends out foundation really well, literally buffing it into the skin.

Fourth, is a nail polish! I change up my nail polish ALOT. Especially for the different seasons. However, Essie's Cocktail Bling is a shade I can wear all throughout the year when I'm looking for something slightly more neutral. The consistency is brilliant and I can go chip-free for at least 4-5 days! A winner in my eyes! (Full review here). Number 5 will come as no surprise to fellow beauty bloggers. The cult favourite Lasting Perfection Concealer from Collection has shunted all other concealers from my make-up bag. It has such high coverage, and keeps me concealed all day long. Literally love this. Sixth, the Bourjois Délice de Soleil Bronzing Powder has been a firm favourite with me. It gives a lovely sun-kissed sheer glow, and I love the packaging as I can use the big mirror when travelling.

Seventh, is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent. This is my second pan of the product as I love it so much. It sets my make-up so well, and leaves my face matte all day. Number 8, is an eyeshadow that I became obsessed with! The Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze is such a fuss-free option for those busy mornings! You don't even need a brush, perfect for travelling! (Full review here). Onto a lip product now, and my Clinique Chubby Stick in Roomiest Rose. I love how easy to apply the product is, and how well it lasts on your lips. Its a subtle colour that is buildable, so its perfect for day to night wear. (Full review here).

There's only one mascara in my life that does it for me at the moment, and that's the Maybelline Mega Plush Volum' Express. It lengthens my eyelashes and makes me feel 10 times more awake than I actually am! Its not flaky at all, and only needs a few coats! The Lush Lip Scrub in Mint Julips is the best thing that's happened to my lips all year. They feel so smooth and supple after using the scrub and it makes wearing lipsticks so much easier. Twelth is another lip product, this time Topshop's Rio Rio. I love the formula of this lipstick, as although its a matte finish it goes on so smoothly and sits really comfortably on the lips. Its a great statement red. Another brush at 13, is my MAC 217. This is my favourite brush to use for blending eyeshadow, as its so fluffy and soft.

Talking about eyeshadow, my favourite palette this year has been the Stila In The Light Palette. All the shades are so blendable and really highly pigmented. My favourite shade in the palette is definitely Kitten, and I've hit pan recently! Ahh! For eyeliner, I love any that makes cat flicks easier for me. So the Revlon ColourStay Liquid Eye Pen has been my saviour this year! It works like a felt tip pen, making it super easy to use! It also stays put all day long. Finally, my all time favourite highlighter is the MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. I have tried other highlighters this year but I always go back to this. It gives such a beautiful subtle glow, and lasts for absolutely ages!

Aside from make-up, I've also been loving my No.7 Hot Cloth Cleanser. At only £10 this is such good value for money, and cleanses your face so well leaving you feeling clean and fresh. At 18, is the best nail polish remover. The Bourjois Dissolvant makes taking off nail polish a doddle, and is much less messy than the traditional methods! REN make the ultimate face mask to me. The Gycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask leaves my skin feeling renewed and super soft. I love using it whilst I'm having a bath; the ultimate pamper evening! Now onto the last product of my favourites (phew!), the L'Oréal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution. This is probably the best product that's happened to my skin this year. Before this I was just using face wipes to remove my make-up - sue me, I know! But now, my face feels thoroughly cleansed and clean and I definitely don't have as many breakouts as I used to!

So that's it, I apologise for the EXTREME length of this post! I mayyy have gotten a tadge carried away, so if you made it to the end I salute you! What's been your favourite product of 2013? :)

November Favourites.

6 Dec 2013

This month I've been rekindling my love for some older products and seem to have become slightly lip obsessed with three lip products making the cut! With the festive season approaching I've loved digging out my MAC highlighter to give my face some light, and keeping my lips lovely and soft with Maybelline's Babylips.

So kicking off my favourites is a lipstick that I've had for quite a while but only now seem to really love! The Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 03 is a really great nude. Its definitely more of a pinky/brown shade rather than a peachy nude. As loathe as I am to say it, its the perfect 'your lips but better' shade for me. As with the whole line of Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks it is really moisturising and sits really nicely on the lips. I love it for an everyday look.

Another old favourite is my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. It really is the most beautiful highlighter. I stopped using it more recently in favour of Benefit's High Beam, but I've found that Soft and Gentle gives a much subtler pretty glow. Its perfect for brightening up your face through the colder months.

Recently I've been loving having nude nails, and Barry M's Matte Nail Polish in Vanilla is perfect. Sometimes I find a nude polish that looks great in the pot, can really wash out my fingers. But Vanilla is a really great, elegant shade. It dries matte really quickly, and stays chip free for at least 3-4 days without a topcoat. I'm really loving the matte nails trend!

Back to lips, I recently bought into the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick hype, with the shade In Love With Ginger. I have to say I totally understand the hype with this! I can't stop wearing it, as it really is so moisturising. It sits really comfortably on the lips and has great colour payoff. Its a great vibrant orange toned red, which works really well as an alternative to the classic A/W red. It lasts really well throughout the day too, with only a few retouches needed.

Mascara is one of my great loves. If I could only put on one product before I left the house it'd definitely be mascara. I love the way it brightens and opens up your eyes, and this Maybelline mascara really does the trick. The Mega Plush Volum' Express has a really great rounded flexible brush which helps spread product on every single lash. My lashes feel so volumised without having the brittle flakiness that most mascaras give you.

Lastly its back to lips and another seriously hyped product. I really wasn't interested in the whole Babylips hype, as I'm not a massive fan of tinted lip balms. However, recently I was on the hunt for a lip balm in a tube and when a 3 for 2 offer arose I took the plunge. I bought the Intense Care balm, as it wasn't tinted and sounded promising in this cold weather! Unsurprisingly, I absolutely love it. It makes my lips feel baby soft and leaves a really nice gloss finish. I'm getting through the tube a mile a minute, but at £2.99 a pop I think I'l be buying another soon!

What were your favourite products in November? :)

October Favourites.

1 Nov 2013

So its October Favourites time and there's quite a few products I've been loving! Including a cheeky candle purchase too!

Recently I've been really getting into my Stila In The Light Palette. I've actually had the palette for ages, but I always seem to forget I have it and find it lurking at the back of my make-up drawer. This month however, I've had it on the go almost everyday and been totally loving it! The 10 shadows are beautiful and super pigmented. They also blend really easily which is great for me as I'm still a bit of an eye shadow novice! My only issues with the palette is that there isn't enough matte shades for my liking and it doesn't close securely which makes travelling a slight issue. But a spare hair band solves that issue. :)

If you read my recent review (here) you'll know that I've been obsessed with Benefit's High Beam ever since I bought it. The lovely pinky-champagney colour works so well to brighten my face up for Autumn. Using it underneath my brow bone also gives a lovely definition to my brows as well. I won't harp on too much as my review says it all, but basically I LOVE it!

Now its Autumn and the run up to Christmas has officially hit, you've got to have a staple red lipstick on the go. My current go-to is Topshop's Rio Rio. Its creamy, moisturising and has great colour pay off. With a lip liner to prime the lips it has great staying power and a lovely matte finish. At £8 I think its really great value too!

As seen in my previous post this week, I am in love with the miracle hair worker that is TIGI's Wonderful Tonight. Want an overnight treatment that leaves you with that 'just left the hairdressers' feeling? Then you need this bottle in your life! It makes my hair feel so soft and shiny and it smells super yummy too!

Bronzer is something I've never really used. I always seem to struggle finding the perfect shade for me, but the Bourjois Délice de Soleil Bronzing Powder has found a permanent place in my make-up bag. I have it in the shade fair/medium. The powder is really finely milled, giving a really natural finish on the skin. I really love the packaging too, with a massive mirror which is great when I'm travelling!

Lastly, a somewhat different addition to normal! On a recent trip to Waitrose, I found this Fig and Plum candle on offer and couldn't resist it. It smells amazing and has really gotten me into an autumnal mood. Fig seems to be a favourite scent of mine at the moment, so you might see a few more candles popping up here and there!

So there's my favourites for this month! What've you been loving? :)

My Top 3 Products for Autumn.

18 Oct 2013

Growing up, I lived for the warmer months with the only highlight of Autumn/Winter being the Christmas period. But in recent years my love for layering, jumpers and red lips has grown and grown and now I can't wait to get my winter coat out. The chilly weather is also the best justification for copious Starbucks trips, woolly tights and mulled wine! So I thought I'd share with you three beauty products that will be permanent fixtures in my make-up bag this Autumn.

Without the sun to brighten my face and give me much needed Vitamin C I find that my skin starts to look a little dull. This is where highlighter comes in and saves the day! Benefit High Beam is actually a recent purchase of mine, and a full review will be on the blog next week but I'm already obsessed with it. Its a beautiful champagne pink like colour, and the nail-varnish style applicator makes it so easy to apply. I dab the brush on the back of my hand, then dot the highlighter along my cheekbones and sometimes on the brow bone before blending it out. It gives such a lovely dewy glow that's perfect for brightening up your face in those colder months.

Aside from dramatic lips a smokey eye is synonymous with Autumn make-up so you may be confused as to why I've chosen such a neutral shade to be my staple. I absolutely love the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's and the shade On and On Bronze is perfect for wearing on its own paired with a bright lip or as a base for a smokey look. The formula is so creamy that it really glides onto your lid and stays put all day. Perfect for daytime wear! I recently just hit pan on this shadow which I think is testament to how much wear I get out of it! I was a fail and forgot to swatch it with the other two products, but if you click here you can read a full review of the shadow with swatches.

Bright red lips are a classic and reminds me of glamorous women in the 50's. Though recreating this look with the perfect red lipstick can be tricky as there is SO many red lipsticks out there, Topshop's Rio Rio is a definite favourite of mine. I actually bought it almost a year ago and found it way too drying on my lips so I never really used it. However since using the Lush Lip Scrub my lips have been in much better condition and I thought I'd give it a go again. I'm so glad I did, as the colour is really flattering on me! Its definitely my go-to red lipstick now. Its creamy and moisturising  in texture and super pigmented, it also lasts really well and I love the matte finish. Topshop lipsticks have often been compared to MAC in quality and I'd definitely have to agree. If you're on the lookout for a good red lipstick and don't want to splurge too much this is definitely the one to try.

What're your favourite products for Autumn? :)

My Current Favourite Haircare Products.

15 Oct 2013

Over the past few months I've noticed that I've been using the same hair products again and again, and my hair has felt in really good condition. So I thought I'd share with you my current favourites :)

Ever since I found out about TIGI's S-Factor range, I've been slowly trying and loving more and more products from it. The Smoothing Conditioner and Shampoo is amazing, and makes my hair feel so soft and lovely. The whole S-Factor range also smells of strawberries which is seriously yummy! The shampoo makes my hair feel so clean afterwards, and the conditioner is a really lovely creamy consistency. I concentrate both the shampoo and conditioner on the ends of my hair, and then work the remaining product through the top of my head. Although not the cheapest, the bottles have lasted me 4 months so they're definitely worth your money. I usually buy mine cheaper on the discount site All Beauty or Amazon - but they seem to be sold out at the moment as I can't find them on there at all!

Also in the TIGI S-Factor range I've been loving the Smoothing Lusterizer. I used to use hair oils after washing my hair, but now I always use the smoothing lusterizer. The consistency is more of a lotion than an oil and works best with thick porous hair. For me, its the best tool to style my hair and makes it look so smooth and sleek. I literally couldn't be without it now! I even bought a little travel pot to decant some in for nights away. On the styling front I'm also really loving the Toni&Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray for 'natural' hair days. I wrote a full review of the spray here.

I have to say, I've never been the best for using heat protectant, but now I have Ombré hair I've started making a conscious effort to protect my hair better. The TRESemmé Keratin Smooth heat protection spray is my absolute favourite to use. I hate how with most protection sprays they end up just making your hair soaking wet! The Keratin Smooth spray however, is more of a 'mist' - spreading the product so much more evenly. It also leaves your hair feeling really smooth - so yay! On the theme of protecting my hair, I've also been loving using my Tangle Teaser. Brushing my hair straight after a shower is always so tricky as it gets really knotty - the tangle teaser seriously helps this though and makes sure I don't pull out half my hair too!

Batiste Dry Shampoo is a staple in my books. Having a full fringe, second hair day means it always needs a little boost, and this does the trick perfectly. Finally, my hair generally has a life of its own so hairspray is an absolute must. The Aussie Dual Personality Hairspray is my favourite by far. I generally hate the smell of hairsprays, but the Aussie spray is so fresh! Not at all what you'd expect. You also get really good hold and a nice bit of shine throughout the day without feeling like your hair is made of straw.

So there's my current haircare favourites! Is there any products you'd recommend for me? :)

September Favourites.

4 Oct 2013

Starting with a cliché I know. But, how fast is this year going!?! I can't believe its already October! I have to say I am surprisingly really enjoying the slightly chilly weather now though. Jumpers are happily being used again and the excuse for copious amounts of tea is valid. Yay Autumn! So without further ado, here are the products I've most enjoyed using in September.

Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser:
If you read my Skincare Haul post (here) on Monday you'll know that I already love this! It makes my morning routine so quick without feeling like I've neglected my skin. A winner in my eyes, and the price is pocket friendly too. :)

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Balm in Red Sunrise:
I absolutely love all of the Chubby Stick style dupes that have hit the beauty market, and the Bourjois collection is possibly becoming my favourite. I love this shade, and how moisturising it is on the lips. Its really comfortable to wear, and lasts a good few hours too. It leaves a really subtle stain on the lips as well, so you don't have that awkward half on/half off lipstick remains moment.

L'Oréal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution:
I won't rave about this too much as I wrote a lengthy post comparing Micellar Waters recently. You can have a look here, but suffice to say I seriously love using this! I already have two more bottles in my cupboard ready and waiting for when I run out!

Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray:
I've always been a fan of sea salt sprays, but the Toni&Guy spray is a recent addition to my hair care. So far I'm totally loving it, it gives a really nice beachy wave without making my hair crispy. It also holds really well throughout the day which I love. The packaging is also really pretty as I have a limited edition version designed by Lulu Kennedy.

Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Isolde:
I've loved this duo since I reviewed it way back in April (here), and I'm still loving it now. The two shades are so beautiful, and as expected from Nars are seriously pigmented. Currently I love pairing the lighter shade (Frosted Ginger) with a deeper brown (Sandstone from the Stila In the Light palette looks lovely) for an everyday look.

Revlon Colourstay Liquid Eye Pen:
This eyeliner hasn't been out of my make-up bag once this month. I love the felt-tip pen style applicator. Its so easy to use, and glides on really well. It has some serious staying power as well. Its really easy to create different looks too, either a thin subtle line or a large dramatic flick.

Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter:
Soap & Glory are always a favourite in my bathroom cabinet, and this addition is no exception. This is meant to almost be a moisturiser and shower gel in one. The consistency is really creamy, and as much as I feel ridiculous saying it, it does feel 'luxurious' on your skin. It smells gorgeous, as all Soap and Glory products do and leaves my skin feeling really smooth.

So there we have it, my favourites of the month! :) What've you been loving?

My Favourite Summer Blushes

25 Jun 2013

Blusher may just be my new favourite thing to wear. A few months ago blusher would have been way down my list of favourite make-up, but now its a staple. I'm not sure what it is about the little pans of pretty colours, but I can't get enough of them. So I thought I'd share my three favourite blushes for summer with you.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Tipsy: This blush was one I picked up on my holiday to NYC a few weeks ago. I knew I wanted to pop into Sephora but I hadn't been sure exactly what I was going to buy. Although as soon as I saw the Tarte blushes I was drawn like a moth to the flame! I got the shade tipsy which is a gorgeous coral shade. The formula is so nice, really finely milled making it so easy to apply and blend. The colour is seriously pigmented too, so its definitely going to last me! The blush also seriously lives up to the 12-hour claim - a major plus for me when I have plans straight from work!

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in Pinched: I'm not sure how well you can see in the picture, but this blush has a considerable dip in it now from some serious continual use. The colour is just so pretty on the skin and really gives you a lovely glow. Its quite a pale coral - if you haven't guessed I have a slight love for the shade! Being a cream blush I find it applies really well with a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and has really good staying power. Am I also the only one who really enjoys the screw lid to the pot?

Sleek Rose Gold Blush: You may remember that I reviewed this blush back in April, and I'm still loving it! The rose gold shade is so so pretty and the slight shimmer catches really nicely in the sunlight (if we had any this summer!). It gives quite a subtle glow, making it one of my favourite blushes for everyday wear. Its not as pigmented as the Tarte blush, but it definitely has great staying power and with a thrifty price-tag what's not to love?

Let me know your favourite blushes :)

April Favourites

7 May 2013

HOW IS IT MAY?! This year is going so super duper fast, and already I'm a little late on my April Favourites! I don't actually do a favourites post very often, but this month I've been really loving these products so I thought they deserved a whole post dedicated to them. Bet they feel special!

Recently I've really been trying to take good care of my skin, and the Elemis Exfoliating Face Wash coupled with my No.7 Hot Cloth Cleanser (reviewed in my last post HERE) have seriously been making a difference. My skin feels so much clearer now and much smoother! Definitely gonna repurchase both products - that is if my cleanser ever runs out, it seems to go on forever!

Both the foundation and mascara were purchases based on the recommendations of Essie Button and Tanya Burr and if you're reading this then I'm sure you know who they are already. I was on the lookout for a new foundation, and although it was a struggle to actually find the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in stock, I'm so glad I tracked it down! Its got such good coverage, stays put all day and blends really nicely. I really enjoy the healthy glow it gives my skin. I did actually buy the matching concealer as well, but I'm still a bit iffy on whether I actually like it. When it comes to the Maybelline The Falsies Mascara, I sooo wish I'd bought it sooner! I love it! My lashes look so volumised and I don't end up with black smudges under my eyes! Definitely one to repurchase :)

The Revlon ColourStay Liquid Eye Pen is a relatively recent addition to my make-up bag, but I am seriously loving it. It makes eyeliner so quick and easy and literally never smudges! Its my go-to eyeliner everyday and can create so many different effects. Definitely one for the handbag!

I reviewed the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Cream Gel Eyeshadow pots back in the beginning of April (see HERE) and I liked them then. But now, I bloody love them. They make getting ready in the morning, that bit quicker and simpler and yet you still look like you spent time blending out eyeshadows! My favourite is still On and On Bronze, but I am warming more and more to Pink Gold.

Finally, onto brushes. I've had both the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and the MAC 217 for a while but this month I've just been really enjoying using them. The Buffing brush seems to work particularly well with my Bourjois Foundation and just blends it so easily and smoothly. Likewise, my 217 brush makes blending so easy and gives such a nice effect. Both brushes area really soft and fluffy, and actually dry really well after washing!

What've your favourites been from April? :)

December Favourites.

31 Dec 2012

This month I've been loving quite varied products; a few recent splurges, a Christmas gift and a Glossy Box find.

First up, my Stila One Step Illuminate which I actually wrote a full review on a few posts back here. This product was bought on such a whim, I surprised myself by how much I liked it! There's not many days where I don't use this primer now as I just love the healthy glow it leaves me with. Considering I've had this for just over a month now, I also think it lasts really well!

A beauty staple I think, but this is actually my first purchase of the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover. I'm not sure how I would cope without this now, its just so simple and quick to use! Definitely a firm favourite for months to come I think. :)

My first Essie nail polish, and definitely a favourite for this wintery month! The shimmery bluey/greeny colour (Dive Bar) is so suited for the cold weather we've been having, and the quality of the polish is really apparent. I wrote a full review on this polish earlier this month which you can read here.

This Ayuuri Indian Rose Face Cream actually featured in my November Glossybox post and I have to say I wasn't massively excited by it. However, after persevering with it I have quite enjoyed using it. I'm still not keen on the smell of Rose, but the cream does leave my face feeling really soft and smooth. Which in the winter months can sometimes be tricky to accomplish! So thanks Glossy Box for ensuring I find this brand! :)

I feel like this product needs little explanation. The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle actually made its way into my home a few months ago, but this month I've had quite a few compliments on my dewy/shimmery cheekbones that it's renewed my love for the product! I just love this and I'm sure most of you reading will agree :) I wrote a little piece about this splurge here.

The Topshop Lip Marker in Hot Shot is actually intended as a kind of lip stain. However, I wear mine as more of a lip liner/base coat for lipstick. It seriously improves the wear time, and creates a really nice base for my lipstick to sit on top of. As it is a lip stain, you can wear it alone and although I've heard good reviews  on this, I haven't tried it myself so couldn't really comment. The actual nib of the product has the texture of a felt tip pen and is therefore super easy to control and makes application a smooth process. Definitely a winter favourite when a statement red lip looks so festive.

Lastly, a very recent addition to my monthly favourites! If you've read my previous post (here) you'll know that this Max Factor Colour X-Pert Waterproof Eyeliner in Metallic Anthracite was a Christmas present from my sister. Therefore meaning that I've had the product for less than a week of this month! However, I really do love it that much that it deserves a place in my favourites. I've worn it everyday since opening it and its pretty much a perfect product in my eyes! I think I will be purchasing different colours in the near future to test them out too.

So there you have it, my December favourites! Are any of these products a favourite of yours too? Let me know :)
